Why online flyers?
Paper flyers waste trees and often end up as litter. In addition, lots of flyers must be seen or distributed for any of them to reach their target audience. This "shotgun" approach isn't very effective at all. Taking flyers online eliminates the problem of paper waste and litter, and it also allows for a much more targeted audience through the use of search and categorization.

Does Zollege cost any money?
No. Zollege is completely free to use. There are no service charges, membership charges, or any other kinds of fees incurred on you. Zollege is unlike online auction sites in that Zollege does not handle any kind of transaction between you and other people, so there is never a commission or transaction fee.
The truth is, charging you would be counterproductive to our goal of reducing paper waste. Our strategy in paper flyer elimination is to make Zollege the easier, simpler, more attractive option in communicating messages to your local community. Part of this strategy is to make Zollege the more cost effective choice. Making copies of paper flyers can cost a lot of money, and that doesn't even include the environmental costs that are transferred to you, the citizen, later on.

What flyer type should I choose?
That all depends on what kind of message you're trying to communicate to the community. Here's a breakdown of likely situations matched up with the appropriate flyer type:
-
For Sale:
- You're selling something tangible, such as a rubber ducky, a computer, a car, or real estate.
- NOT when you're selling a service (that should go under "Job Seekers.")
-
Wanted:
- You want something tangible, such as a rubber ducky, a computer, a car, or real estate.
- NOT when you want a service (that should go under "Job Offers.")
-
Roommates:
- You're looking for a new place to live with roommates already there.
- You're looking for new roommates to move in with you.
- NOT when you are looking to buy/sell real estate.
-
Job Offers:
- You're in need of a service.
- You're in need of a new employee for your business.
-
Job Seekers:
- You have a service to offer.
- You're in need of work.
-
Events:
- You're throwing an open invite party.
- You wish to advertise a concert.
- You wish to advertise Greek related activities (rush, etc).
- You wish to advertise your club or a club activity.
-
Miscellaneous:
- Anything that doesn't fit into one of the other flyer types should go here.
This is not an exhaustive list, but hopefully it will help you choose the proper flyer type. If you think you have a flyer that really doesn't fit into any of these types, tell us about it. In addition, if you think you have a flyer that fits a basic type, but doesn't fit neatly into any of the subcategories for that type, then suggest a new category.

What are some tips for posting flyers?
Posting a great flyer is simple. Just follow these guidelines:
-
Be sure to post a picture!
- Flyers that have a picture are much more likely to be read than flyers with the default picture.
- Post an image that is relevant to your flyer and you'll increase your apparent credibility.
- Often, a compelling picture is what makes people click in the first place.
-
Be brief, but thorough.
- List out the important details.
- Remove anything that's unnecessary.
-
Make your message clear.
- Don't include anything that might confuse people as to what your message is (such as confusing jokes, obscure references, long stories, etc.)
- If you're selling something, be sure people know exactly what they're buying.
-
Double check.
- Check important details like prices, dates, and times.
- Make sure all your contact information is correct. It's accessible via the My Account page.
-
Spelling + Grammar = Credibility
- Spelling and grammar mistakes will quickly take away credibility.
- If people are interested in your flyer, they're more likely to follow through if you seem credible.
-
Don't post anything that is against the terms of service.
- You may not post anything that is copyrighted, drug or alcohol related, illegal, violent, obscene, or generally offensive.
- You may not use this service for pranks or spam.
- Flyers that violate the Terms of Service will be dealt with on a case by case basis and could result in the deletion of your account (and subsequently, deletion of all your flyers).
-
Be sure to post a picture!
-
I'm having trouble uploading images.
